We are an interdisciplinary team within the Department of Architecture working in the field of building science. Our mission in research and education is to promote sustainable solutions for both new and existing buildings that offer long-term high level comfort combined with a minimum load on energy resources and the  environment. Our focus is on integrated building and energy concepts - a synthesis of architectural design optimized for high indoor environmental quality and innovative solutions for energy supply with a low primary energy consump­tion.  Miscellaneous planning tools like the building simulation or our artificial sky are consulted for the performance assessment or for the reply to specific questions within the decision-making process.
