Light in Architecture (Lichttechnik für Architekten)

Bachelor -  6th semester - elective subject - 2 credits

 

 Aims:

The aim of the module is to communicate the necessary physical basics in the field of light technology to the students. They should particularly get to know valuation methods, which enable them to estimate rooms concerning their lighting quality. During the project they should develop own lighting solutions. In the module light technology for architects -based on the basic subjects in the 1st and 4th semester- topics of light technology are further deepened. The contents are physical and physiological basics, key lighting parameters, artificial light sources, calculation methods and simulation processes.

 

Frequency:

Each academic year, summer term.

 

Academic achievment and examination:

Lecture course, project during the semester (in written form) and oral examination (30 minutes)
